FSSAI license is segregated in three types which differs according to the turnover and the type of business, they are given below:
1. Basic FSSAI Registration
2. State FSSAI License
3. Central FSSAI License
1) Basic FSSAI Registration
There are several food business operators such as Transporters, Retailers, Marketers, Distributors etc in Delhi and are also the one who needs FSSAI License for business. Basic FSSAI license should be made if the estimated annual turnover is till 12 lakh rupees.
2) State FSSAI License
State license is basically issued by the State Government and it is important to have this operation in one state only. This license exists for those firms whose annual turnover is above 12 lakhs.
3) Central FSSAI License
Several food business Operators, Large manufacturers, Elite Restaurants etc are the one who needs to hold Central FSSAI License. It is necessary for them who assure that their annual turnover will be above 20 crores. This is done when they have spreaded themselves in more than one state.
There are many types of FSSAI License. Any FBO without FSSAI food license is liable to pay penalty for the offenses. The Act has defined Offences and Penalties related to food. Register now to ensure you are not liable for any offense and penalty thereof.
1. Food Business Operator must apply for Food License or restaurant license.
2. If Food Business Operator is operating in more than 1 state, one additional Central License for Head Office is necessary.
3. Importers are allowed to take one single central license at their Import Export Code address.
4. One presumption with various types of businesses is eligible for one registration only.
5. Food Business Operator must obey the rules and conditions of registration in order to get license for food.
